Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Your first design needs no account at all. After that we ask you to create one so your designs are saved and follow you to a new phone. You can delete that account, and everything on it, from inside the app at any time.

The app includes a set number of designs per device. We keep a count of how many you have used so we can apply that limit — see “Device identifier” below.

Your account

Creating an account stores your name, your email address and your password. The password is never stored as you typed it — it is put through a one-way function (scrypt) so that even we cannot read it.

Your email address is only ever used to identify your account. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing from it.

Once you have an account, the designs you make are linked to it. That is what lets you sign in on another phone, or reinstall the app, and still find them.

• Delete your account whenever you like: My Designs → Delete my account.
• Deleting is immediate and permanent. It removes your account, every design on it, and the photographs you uploaded — from our database and from our storage.
• Links to designs you had already shared will stop working.
• One thing deletion does not remove, and we would rather say so than have you discover it: the count of designs already used on your device. It has to outlive the account, or the included-designs limit could be reset by deleting and starting again. It is a number, not a record of what you made.

Photos you upload

When you use a design tool, the photo you choose is uploaded to our server, resized, and sent to our AI image provider (OpenAI) to generate the redesigned version. Both your original photo and the generated image are stored on our server so you can view, compare and share the result.

If you have an account, those photos are linked to it — and are deleted with it. Before you create one, they are linked only to your device.

Please do not upload photos containing people. Our tools are for rooms and exteriors, and photos in which a person is the subject are rejected automatically.

Contact details you give us

• Name, phone number and (optionally) email — only when you submit the contact form or request a consultation.
• Anything you write in the message field.
• These are stored on our server and may be passed to the design studio the app is branded for, so they can reply to you.

Device identifier

The app generates a random identifier the first time it runs and stores it on your device. It is not shared with anyone. Before you create an account it is not linked to your name or your phone number; once you do, the designs it made become part of your account.

It is used for three things only: to apply fair usage limits (so one device cannot overload the service), to count the designs you have used against the number included with the app, and to send you a notification when your design has finished rendering, if you allow notifications.

The designs-used count is stored against this identifier and nothing else — no name, no email, no history of what you designed. It survives signing out and deleting your account, because otherwise the limit would not be a limit.

Deleting the app deletes the identifier from your phone. Reinstalling generally keeps the same one, because it is held in the device's secure storage; a factory reset issues a new one.

Camera and photo library

The app asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo, and for photo library access only when you choose to pick one. If you tap Save to Photos, it asks for permission to add that one image to your library.

We never open the camera or browse your library in the background, and we only ever receive the specific image you select.

Analytics

We record basic, non-identifying usage events — which tool was opened, whether a render succeeded — to understand what is working. These are not tied to your identity and are not shared with advertising networks.

Who else sees your data

• OpenAI — receives the photo you upload in order to generate the redesign.
• The design studio the app is branded for — receives your contact details and message when you submit a form.
• Our hosting provider (DigitalOcean) — stores the data on our behalf.
• Nobody else. We do not sell or rent personal information.

How long we keep things

Generated designs and the photos behind them are retained so you can return to them. Contact submissions are retained for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the enquiry.

If you have an account, deleting it removes your designs and their photos straight away — you do not need to ask us. My Designs → Delete my account. The designs-used count for your device is kept, as described above.

For anything else, including contact details you sent through a form, email alan@lexivoapp.com and we will action it and confirm once it is done. A form submission that has already been passed to the design studio also sits in their records, which we cannot delete on your behalf — ask them directly.

Children

This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal information we hold about you.

Deletion you can do yourself, in the app, without asking: My Designs → Delete my account. For access, correction or export, email alan@lexivoapp.com and we will action it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, note the change in the app.
